Light a candle & post your special words to show your support for our troops!

To my brave cousin : Sgt. Bradley Bergeron As you left us to go fight in Iraq, I knew the obsticles we would face as we wait to hear your voice through phone, your handwriting through letters, and your pictures through digi. cameras. We awaited each day for you to return safely back to us and welcome you home with open arms, but now we can't do that, instead, you come home to us in such shock, sorrowness, and a very hurting way, as we go to Belle Chasse Navel Air Base to pick up your flag draped casket, as your life ended too soon on January 6,2005 in Iraq. Brad, this was a very hard day for me, as I was so close to you. I can say now, I feel like my heart has been ripped out of me, and I feel this emptiness without you here, along with hurt,shock,anger...but, Brad you are my true fallen hero, as I light this candle for you, I remember why you had to go out there and appreciate you giving your life, for my freedom, the freedom to cry when I hurt, Laugh when I'm happy, and get the education I need, Thanks. I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH BRAD AND MISS YOU TREMENDOUSLY! May you rest in piece, my sweet angel. I will NEVER EVER forget you, until we meet again in the heaven above, I LOVE YOU BRADLEY! Gone, but not forgotten Sgt. Bradley Bergeron 2/24/79 - 1/6/05 Love always with all of my heart, ~Nicole Karpinski of Houma, LA

This is to my friend Nicole Karpinski, Nicole I have seen you through this tough time of yours, since the morning of January 6,05 when the worst phone call anyone can get, gets to your house, when you told me Bradley was killed in Iraq and I seen how hurt you were when you found out the news of losing a cousin, friend, (like a 2nd brother), and a hero, and I can't tell you how much this makes me sad seeing you hurt like this, but I have the utmost respect for Brad, he's always in our hearts and also my hero. If you ever need anything and I mean anything you let me know, and I'm here. But, to Brad: I light this candle to you for your service in Iraq, and you giving your life to keep us free. Nicole: I also light this candle for you to keep you strong through this grieving process and for the departure of your other cousin that will be going to Iraq. But, to Nicole and Brad: From what I hear ya'll were like 2 peas in a pod, and this candle is for the both of you, for the courage ya'll have shown, bravery shown, kindness shown, sympathy shown, and the hero within. Nicole, you're also my hero for "trying" your hardest to be strong through this process, but it will take years to heal, just take all the time you need. I love you and will always be a true friend to the core. Brad, may you rest in piece and watch over Nicole and your family, your all of our hero, and we love you, especially Nicole. ~Love ya both, Chels.

I light the biggest candle in the world for all my soldiers of the 84th in Schofield Barracks Hawaii that are now back from Iraq. Slowly I can imagine, what kind of pain you are carrying, ... Slowly I can imagine, what kind of guilt some of you are carrying, ... Slowly I can imagine, what you all went through day by day. I know you think, that you left 2 of you behind (SPC Ramon Ojeda and my husband SSG Oscar Medina). But you didn't!!! Listen very carefully and you still will hear their voices and their comments. Look very carefully and you will remember them standing there and all their typical gestures. And always be aware you have 2 special guardian angels with you ever since the 1. May 2004. I know I can't take your pain, because anybody can take my pain, but I hope, that I can give you some peace in your hearts like some of you give me peace in mine. Never Daunted ~Beate Medina (wife of SSG Oscar Medina, who cares for you guys sooooo much)
