I light this candle in honor of each and every Soldier, Airman, Seaman, and Marine for your unrelenting bravery and fearless character. You help to keep this nation free from harm and by your noble service you fortify what it means to be the greatest nation in the world. Men and women such as yourself who leave behind your family, friends, spouses and children ( some born without every greeting their father's or mother's eye) is a solid testament to the caliber of extraordinary young men and women defending this nation. Not a day goes by that I as an American do not wipe a tear for those fallen sons and daughters who will not be making that special pilgrimage home. Or for the wounded who do come home with the battle scars of their heroic service only to stand stoically and profess how they would risk another tour of duty to defend their comrades, country and honor. What greater gift as a nation could we ask for then for distinctive men and women who would sacrifice everything at all cost including life and limb to defend each and every liberty and freedom we as Americans sometimes take so easily for granted. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you do each and every day. You are the true heroes of this nation and I worship and respect you greatly. We as a nation pray for your fast return home to your family and loved ones and for danger never to make its presence upon you. Yours faithfully, ~Gabrielle
